If you’re looking for the perfect method to print textiles, you can choose from one of our products. Most of them are screen printed, but the DTF transfer differs in its printing method. Both technologies have their specific characteristics and advantages, which are good to understand. Let’s compare them and find out which one is right for you.

Plastisol Transfer: Classic Screen Printing

Plastisol transfer is an excellent choice for those seeking a proven technology with high durability. This type of transfer is printed using a traditional screen printing process and is ideal for:

  • All types of designs printed with plastisol inks according to the Pantone color chart.
  • Monochromatic logos and halftone printing, multicolor designs, or raster.
  • Suitable for most types of materials (not suitable for silk or Lycra).

Advantages of Plastisol Transfer

  • Durability: High colorfastness and resistance to abrasion and repeated washing.
  • Format variability: We offer various sheet sizes, including large format 32×47 cm for bigger designs.
  • Color quality: We use high-quality plastisol and water-based inks.
  • Possibility to improve the quality of the product by adding a blocker that prevents the penetration of colors from the textile material into the iron-on transfer.

However, attention must be paid to details—for example, lines smaller than 0.7 mm can be challenging to print. We have a solution, though: printing with a transparent blocker ensures quality even for such thin lines.

DTF Transfer: Modern Technology Without Compromises

DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are a technological innovation that makes textile printing easier, especially for full-color designs, photographs, and similar types that cannot be produced using screen printing.

What’s unique about DTF Transfer?

  • Water-based CMYK inks + white colors: The result is vibrant and high-quality printing.
  • Flexibility: Transfers are flexible thanks to polyurethane glue, which is especially appreciated for stretchable textiles.
  • Simplicity: Just upload designs in a 56×100 cm format, without a background, and with 300 dpi resolution.

Coldpeel vs. Hotpeel

DTF transfers are available in two film variants:

  • Coldpeel: Ideal for fine details and thin lines. Accurately transfers small graphic elements without risk of damage.
  • Hotpeel: Suitable for general use, but less precise for fine details.

Which One to Choose?

  • Plastisol transfer is the best choice if you prefer traditional screen printing quality. Plastisol colors give your products a unique look. They are especially suitable for printing various designs, such as logos or texts. Ideal for orders with high durability and color consistency requirements. A traditional choice for highly durable printing and larger orders.

  • DTF transfer is perfect for full-color prints or photographs, where vibrant colors and precise detail are essential. This technology is great for modern and creative designs requiring fast production and flexibility.
